Been using one since 1998, first on my then new SLK230 and now on my 1992 190E 2.6. In the 1998 time frame it was the recommended way for dealers to change the oil from Mercedes-Benz of cause their extractor cost several thousands dollar (I think I have a picture of it somewhere, about the size of a washing machine), but the ones you can buy work just fine (I would get the plastic cylinder
The extractor's owner's manual lists each part of the main coupler. I'm going to try and call them to see if I can buy these parts. The OEMTools 24397 and the Harbor Freight oil extractor seem to be clones of the Roughneck 46210 so they might also have couplers which seal the dipstick tube. Is this statement based on experience and research with Mercedes vehicles, or is it merely reflecting an intuitive sense of what should be? Perhaps Mercedes-Benz should be contacted about this rule and asked why they stopped installing drain bolts in oil pans if gravity draining is superior.
I think there's maybe some confusion about which type of Mityvac you'd use for an oil change. I've got one of the Mityvac 7201 units (see pic) it's great for a mess-free change (takes about 15 minutes to drain MOST of the oil). I did an experiment last time, and pulled the drain plug after the Mityvac had done its thing.

The small tubing slows the extraction, when MB for last 30 years have dipstick tubes design for direct sucking. So the best way is to get the biggest Mityvac tubing and connect it to top of car tube. I simply pushed the tubings into funnel end of tube and that would hold, but others make clamped adapters.
The drained oil I went and dumped added up to 10 quarts of oil in my ML! 8L in the MityVac (8.45 quarts) plus the additional 1.5 quarts I poured from the pan into the left over quarts bottles I had left!
